I started my career in New York City as a Clinical Dietitian specializing in cancer, cardiology, and neurology at New York University Medical Center (NYU Langone). I then went on to hone my skills in private nutrition counseling while working in the New York based private practice of nationally recognized Registered Dietitian, Keri Glassman. After working with Keri, I spent a couple of years with one of the first cold-pressed juice cleanse companies. During this time I took a turn from mainstream nutrition to a more holistic, plant-based approach. In 2009 I started my own private practice, Pure Nutrition NYC. While living in New York City, I grew Pure Nutrition as a private practice and brand until leaving for Richmond in 2016. Over the past several years my view and understanding of nutrition has continued to evolve. I have become increasingly aware that it is not just WHAT you eat, but HOW and WHEN you eat, as well as what you drink, what you put onto your body, how you move, how you sleep, and how you nurture your spirit. In the fall of 2020, I decided to upgrade my education and completed the Functional Nutrition Coaching Program through Mind Body Green. It is with this fresh knowledge and excitement that I have founded the evolved Pure Nutrition RVA in this new year of 2021! As a Dietitian and Functional Nutrition Coach, I focus on meeting my clients where they are, helping them to overcome their individual challenges and meet their desired health goals, and in the process upgrade their current diet accordingly. I want to help my client be the best version of themselves. I am a coach, partner, and cheerleader. Diet is not “one size fits all” and the goal is progress NOT perfection. My hope is to help my clients overcome their nutritional challenges and reach their own desired health results. I counsel a variety of clients seeking a range of unique health goals. My special interests lie in digestive issues, vegan diets, pregnancy, weight management, anti-aging/beauty, and disease prevention/longevity.
